Good Morning!

Good morning guys, been sleeping very good last night. I have couple nail art pictures i done before i started this blog. Im going to show you all of them. As a beginner become nail polish lover, i still need any lessons or suggestions about nailing rules. Im not sure what u call them " nailing" or whatever. The mostly problem i got is when i paint my nails, it get messy to edge of nail's skin (left and right side of the nail skin). But now i can pretty handle it. So i need your comments, suggestions or anything, you guys free to speak up on here.

For this manicure, I used base and top coat from Sally Hansen, red colour (Pixy ~ its Indo brand of nail polish), glitter purple from Eternally and green from Eternally. I used toothppick to create this mani.

For this mani, i used base and top coat from Sally Hansen, two coats of red (Pixy), green from Eternally. brown gold from Pixy and white from unknow brand. I think this is a fail mani i done. And i dont know how did i do different colour of one nail lol.

For this mani , i name it "Little Cherries on the Pink", i used base and top coat from Sally Hansen, 9 Lady Blossom from Maybelline, red from Pixy, green from Eternally and white for small dots on cherry from unknown brand.

9 Lady Blossom

A few weeks ago, i went to supermarket in the mall to get my monthly needs. I didnt shop alot , still needs lots of cost for my visa bussiness to US. So i tried my best not to spend so much money. But still couldnt control myself of not buying at least 1 nail polish :D. So i found a gorgeous nail polish from Maybelline. Its colour name is 9 Lady Blossom. But it was too bad because they only sell 1 color. Weird.

So for this nail polish, i didnt make art at all. I wanted to look how good this color without any art except some stickers.
I applied base coat from Sally  Hansen, then i applied 2 coats of 9 Lady Blossom (Maybelline), then last i put top coat from Sally Hansen.

Maybe it's Maybelline.

I love Maybellines, especially the old express finishes with the grey caps.  There is something so nostalgic about them, and I really love the bottle shape. With that said, I don't know if it's a coincidence or if I'm a nut job but the gold cap express finishes seem to always be streaky and it pisses me off to have to thin a brand new bottle of polish.

Every time I apply a gold cap express finish and it streaks horribly across my freshly prepped, clean and shiny, lovingly base coated, unsuspecting nail, I think really LOUDLY in my head, "MAYBE IT'S NOT FUCKING MAYBELLINE!".  Yeah, I can think to myself in different volumes, and yeah that is the first official full force F-bomb on mah blog.  I think it went over quite well.  Seriously when a polish ruins 20 minutes of filing and moisturizing, base coating and prepping, I strongly consider walking into my kitchen grabbing the hammer out of my pot holder drawer and taking it to every shiny surface in sight.  But I don't because that would mess up the rest of my manicure.

In all honesty, some of the grey cappers streak too.  I just need to point a finger at something and those ugly ass gold caps are just gonna have to take the blame.  Somebody has to take the fall and it's you, you hideous gold caps.  Maybe if you weren't so GOLD and gaudy you could have flown under the radar, but Noooo you just had to be loud and stupid and GOLD.  Is this EGYPT Maybelline?  Are we in King Tut's tomb?  Last time I checked, The answer was NO!  So, stop gold plating random things that AREN'T JEWELRY.

Maybe I'm wrong and Maybelline is 100% on point.  But my toothbrush and shoe laces aren't gold plated so I'm pretty freakin sure this isn't Egypt circa 1333 BC.

So, in this ONE isolated instance do not listen to me. The grey cap Maybelline express finishes are capable of streaking just as bad as the gold ones.
This one applied awesome.  2 thin coats to achieve bottle color.  Purdy.  This is like the ONLY heavily orange based red I can wear and have my hands remain normal looking.
I kinda liked this color but was it worth 4 coats to cover the streaks?  NO!  Was it even worth typing the ridiculously long and STUPID name so I could post it?  Kinda, because I wanted to tell you guys how hard it was for me to type "blet" when all I wanted in the world at that moment was to type "BLEH!"
I think this swatch reveals what a pain this was to apply.  It was wierd.  Streaky and runny at the same time.  But only 3 coats.  I bought this polish because in the store it looked like a creme that would perfectly match my skin tone.  I got it home to find it was a pinkish, yellowish, nude SHIMMER.
This took 5 coats to be opaque, but it's not meant to be opaque so its ok.  But good LORD it is SO streaky.  It's like trying to apply polish with a brush a 4th grader made out of pine straw at summer camp.
I have a love hate relationship with this one.  LOVE- because it looks VERY close to Ruby Pumps. HATE- because it looks VERY close to Ruby Pumps.  This is the closest ruby pumps dupe I have found but who cares. Maybelline can't touch it because Ruby Pumps is RUBY EFFING PUMPS, it is THE red glitter. Nuff said.

Layers

Let's not sugar coat things ladies.  Well, let me rephrase that.  I'm not going to sugar coat ANYTHING.  But you can sugar coat to your hearts desire.  Deal?  With that out of the way, layering polish totally pisses me off.

I freaking HATE polishes that require layering.  You know the ones. They look freaking SWEET in the bottle but are totally sheer and worthless unless YOU make the extra effort to layer them over another polish.  GAH!  What a slap in the face huh?  "Here is some polish that looks pretty in the bottle but WE aren't going to make it wearable, YOU figure it out, sucker."

And what's the deal with the streaking?  These things seem like they have a top secret, high tech, government created, pro-streak serum added to them.  Most likely the same serum they put on the back of the impossible to remove, advertisement stickers that manufacturers like to slap on the front of brand new TVs.   Maybe buying that junk is the reason they couldn't afford to properly pigment the polish.  With all the money these polish companies save on pigments by forcing us to layer on our own coin why can't they just be halfway decent and place the word "TOPCOAT" on the freaking bottle?

Now I am NOT talking about polishes that are clearly meant to be layered.  Like Orly prisma gloss, sheer glitters, Holo topcoats etc. I am actually BFFs with this type of polishes. They help change up boring manis, hide smudges and pump up the wow factor on your nails.  I also have no beef with sheer jellies or glitter jellies that are buildable.

Honestly I haven't ever worn one of the above mentioned layering polishes aside from two circumstances.1) To take a photo. 2) This retarded thing I do- If anyone is looking at my polishes I'll run over, overcome with excitement and grab one of them to show the person how it changes when layered over black. I'll even talk about how cool it is, "look how it changes, WOW isn’t it awesome?" even though I absolutely HATE them. For this behavior I have no explanation.

So, for those of you that like layering I have swatched some of the "coolest" ones for you. These are all done over a single coat of Sinful Colors Black on Black.  If you haven't gotten this perfect one coat black yet I highly advise you do so ASAP!
Pink based duochrome.  Flashes from blue to purple to hot pink when layered over black as shown.  This is the least streaky of the polishes I swatched today. 1 coat.
This flashes from an electric blue, almost teal to the white base color.  Since we layed it over black and the base is sheer it basically flashes from blue to black.  2 coats because it's a streak-FEST.
Super awesome purple to green duochrome.  A total waste of an awesome polish unless you layer it.  This is 1 coat.
This one flashes from royal blue to pink when layered over black. 1 coat.

Now, here is my favorite polish that is MEANT to be layered. Orly Prisma Gloss in Gold. The reason this polish is so awesome is that the holo micro glitter settles at the bottom. So, when you shake it up you can control how glittery your mani will be. A light shake will give you sparse glitter like the night sky, my personal favorite.  And a lot of shaking will give you super dense glitter almost like a holo topcoat.  I LOVE it!  Now I don't have to mix up clear polish with a drop of glitter polish in a bottle cap to get sparse glitter!
This is my favorite way to wear Prisma Gloss. Two quick shakes for a really sparse glitter application that is subtle and gorgeous.
This is Prisma Gloss totally shaken up. It transforms into basically a holo topcoat. You can't really see the "holo" here but it is SUPER holographic. This has replaced all my other holo topcoats as my favorite. It is incredibly vibrant and dries super fast without the addition of a quick dry topcoat.
 1 coat!

Drugstore Deals.

I normally like to stick to brands I get online like Misa, China Glaze, Orly etc. But I just cannot pass up cheap polish. An added bonus to my obsessive polish hoarding problem is that I find a lot of really awesome polishes I wouldn't have ever tried had they not been on sale. This being a prime example.

I only got this because it was marked down to $1.39 at my walgreens and I LOVE to have lots of matching bottles from the same brand. I am low on rimmels so I grabbed it in spite of the color. I tried it and fell in love. I freakin adore this! BUT, I came to find out that they were only discounted because rimmel is changing thier bottle design. How nice.

I love the square Sally Hansen Salon bottles. But as with all good things from Sally Hansen they are discontinued and are being replaced with something fugly. So, a lot of stores are discounting the square style bottles. I picked these up at Walgreens for a little over a dollar each on sale. So if you love these like I do start stalking the walgreens in your area STAT!

Sinful colors polishes can be purchased at walgreens. They have been running BOGO sales for them a lot lately so they end up being only $1 each. Normally $1.99 a bottle. This is 2 coats

This beauty was part of the CVS 75% off sale going on this month. A lot of thier store brand items are also BOGO50% off.

I found these old Maybellines at the Dollar Tree. The express  finish normally come in 2 packs for $1. The others are sold individually.

I got this one from Ross in a sort of grab bag package. It had 10 old Sally Hansens. There were extremes, Salons, Glossies, Opals, 10 days wears and Hard as nails all in the same package for only 4.99! Of course I bought both packs.
